Carer/Personal Assistants
Peterculter
20 hours per week
£13.45 to £16.84 per hour depending on experience
Ad hoc, flexible, short term and term time shifts available
Availability 7 days per week
A family are looking for Carers to support their son in the home environment. Previous experience of working with children with disabilities and complex medical needs is desirable. However, a willingness to train and learn would also be considered.
Carers should be able to engage in a variety of activities, as well as moments of calm and free play. The little boy responds positively to a reassuring and friendly manner. A knowledge of both visual impairment and communication skills for children with ASN would be helpful.
Duties include washing, dressing, changing. Some experience of using hoist, standing frame, pacer and supportive seating; stoma care, gastrostomy use; oxygen use and suction knowledge would be advantageous.
PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) will be required
