Personal Assistant Required
Laurencekirk area
£13.92 per hour
Weekend work plus annual leave and sickness cover
A family are looking for a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant to provide support to an older gentleman in his own home on a Saturday and Sunday, plus cover for any annual leave or sick leave. The individual can have trouble engaging and may require encouragement, reassurance, and a positive approach to help him participate in his daily routine
Shift times can be discussed at interview, but visits are required in the morning and at bedtime.
Morning Visit (Approx. 1 Hour)
Duties will include:
- Assisting with personal care.
- Providing catheter care.
- Supporting with shaving and other personal grooming tasks.
- Encouraging and supporting the individual to get out of bed and start the day, as this can take time and gentle persuasion.
Evening / Bedtime Visit (30 Minutes)
Duties will include:
- Assisting with washing hands and face.
- Providing catheter care.
- Supporting the individual to change into pyjamas.
- Attaching the night bag and ensuring comfort and safety before bed.
