£13.92 per hour
3 hours term time, 6 hours holiday time
Days and times flexible but must be outwith school hours. Can be discussed at interview
A family are looking for a patient, reliable, and active befriender to support a 14-year-old boy with ADHD, ASD, anxiety, and Tourette's syndrome.
He has a passion for mountain biking and trail riding, enjoys dirt biking, swimming, and badminton in quieter environments. The role involves accompanying him on community activities, building confidence, developing independence and life skills, and providing a calm and supportive presence.
Applicants should be enthusiastic about outdoor activities, a passion for mountain biking would be a bonus, and have a calm, low-demand communication style. Experience supporting neurodivergent young people is desirable but not essential. The right attitude, patience, and shared interests are the most important qualities.
Activities will take place outwith the family home and will be agreed with the young person, focusing on confidence-building, social skills, and community participation.
